ok well i did the 80mm fan mod and now the fan is slightly too big to it hits the top of my case and when i start to tighten it down it bends the rim of the fan causing the blades to hit the sides making a reall loud noise as if you held your pencil against it, and i mean i cant even get near closong my case fully it just starts makin noise when the screws start to make contact with the bottom of the case, what do i do?

Cut off part of the top of the fan, or just sand it down as much as possible without fucking it up till it fits... I had to do this for the bottom of the fan, I had to break the corners off of it.

yea i had to cut all the corners off. but the 80mm mod is definitly worth it. to cut the corners off just get an x acto knife and just score down the line where you want to cut it, den get some pliers and bend the plastic. worked like a charm

i cut all 4 corners on the bottom, and 2 more on the top. so yeah, you might as well cut them all off.
but i got a question, my fan is hitting one of those little blue things on the power supply, looks like wire wrapped in plastic for saftey reasons, can i bend that little blue thing, or should i trim the fan??
