Hi,
ive been having problems with my 1.6b box w/ x2.6ce clock being reset everytime i select reboot from evox or unleashx and everytime i use igr. Im using m8plus on bank 2, i have tried all the clock settings in unleashx and setting the clock in msdash. I am very confused as to why this is happening, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pain In The Ass

April 20th 2004 is what my xbox resets to all the time, I just wish that there was anohter BIOS for 1.6 owners at least then there would be a choice sad.gif

Nope sad.gif

EXACTLY the same
mdsupt
the only way to fix this problem is to create a 1mb M8plus bios and flash your chip...so basically you need 512k m8 on bank1 and 512k m8 on bank 2....this should solve the clock problem....but this means you will no longer have Flashbios on bank 1 so if something goes wrong, you will need to buy a programmer.
PC_Arcade
So flash 2 m8 Bioses, will 1 1mb bios work or does it have to be 2x512k?

BTW I've got a xenium ICE, is the problem still the same?

dam, in that case i might just leave it how is,its not TOO big of a problem and id rather not risk having to buy a programmer $_$

it is basically the same...1mb m8 flashed to the chip will essentially be 2 512k m8....because each bank can only hold 512k...you understand?

i know this will solve the clock problem with a x2.6 chip....not sure about the other chips
PC_Arcade
laugh.gif Yeah, I understand.

Fix doesn't work on the xenium though sad.gif

Guess I'll have to wait.

ive seen this method a few times but ive always wondered whats the difference between this

512 m8 - 512 m8 flash and a 512 flashbios - 512 m8 (both 1 meg)

as once your switch is on bank 2 how does the first bank affect this?
