you should still be able to boot from the evox cd though. no matter what you did with the other files already on your hd.

it doesnt want to boot. If i put in a new version of evox all it will do is just reboot my xbox and not even show logos or anything.. it will go to error 21. I just dont know wat to do.

| 21 - anywhere - This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag |
don't really understand what that means, sorry. just thought i would give you the definition of error 21. you might have to try erasing everything on the hd, then booting to a evox disk. i realize you lose everything on the hd, but at least you get back your $200.00 console.
please if anybody can help this guy better please do so.

try this link
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/hdd-install.php since you are erasing the hd on your pc, it should work. then when you put the empty hd back in your xbox, the problem should be erased.

so i would have to take the hd off my xbox the 8 giger, then put it in my pc. erase it with some software. and then put it back in and install evox? i have no backup files either.

yes, you would have to do what you said, but ignore the backup files, you can download the orig. files from the regular places and that should work for you.
