I searched and could not find anything on this so I apologize if this has been asked and answered before.
I recently softmodded a friends Xbox with UXE. This was the first time that I performed this particular hack. Here are the details of the system
- Replaced stock HD with a 200 gig HD.
- I have enabled Shadow C
- I have put the the necessary files from the original HD back onto C so that I have the option to boot back into the MS dash. I have tested this and it works.
- I am using DVD2Xbox to backup games to the hard drive.
- I have tested backing up some games, such as Mech Assult and Halo, with no problems. These games copy to the hard drive just fine and can be played from the hard drive with no problems.
Now my friend has backed up some games and played them from the hard drive just fine. However, he recently tried to backup Crimson Skies and Mech Assult 2. The games copy fine, however as soon as the goes into the games and hits start to play the game, everything freezes. In fact, he cannot even play the game directly from the disc. If he goes into "Launch DVD" to play the game, the game loads fine but when he hits start, it freezes.
Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
