hear is the story......

i got my xbox modded but did not have a harddrive put n ....
now i am trying to put a 80g HD in.

i have no idea about this stuff so please make it a simple as possible...

in the front i have 3 switchs
1: chip enableed or disabled
2: Flash proect on or off
3. blank 1 or 2

when i have tryed to put n disk of downloaded stuff for the xbox it will not read it (i use DVD-r)
When i put in the new harddrive and try to boot anything i giv me error anfd the orange light flashes.....

please help to either get the new hard drive in and working without hooking up to my cpu...

you wanna upgrade your hd? just download xboxhdm, and create a hdd from scratch with you xbin and dash (also some savegaesm fro e:\) on the xboxhdm cd

leave switches alone..............

make an unleashx DISK either a cdrw or a dvd so you can boot your xbox with it an yoru new hard drive it will detect its a new one and format an partition it for you then you can ftp to the xbox an upload all your shit

i should mention that the HD was in my cpu.......

i erased all off of it but do i need to do anything else to it.....

i have the stock samsung disk rom drive.....

i have tryed to get it to read a DVD-r of unleash but is gives me erorr 13.

what do you suggest??

error 13 is missing or damaged "dash" files. (if the "dash" loads from a cd thats the same error)

Build a proper install disk or download one from xbins. (could be media issue, make sure the CD or DVD u used can be read by the xbox)

And i assume u mean in ur PC not CPU. That doesn't matter btw.
