Hi all!

I'm trying to flash my TSOP using a matrix chip. I used the tutorial at http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/evox-ts...tsop-matrix.php, but I can't get it to work. I get EvoX to boot up, and my chip's LED is red (I grounded it to create a short to get it booted), but when I go to "Flash Bios" in the "System Utils" menu, it doesn't find anything, even though I upped the "EvoX_MatriX_TSOP_flash.bin" file into the chip beforehand.

If anybody has had this problem or has any insight on how to fix this, any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dom`

you need to have the "EvoX_MatriX_TSOP_flash.bin" file in C:BIOS for evox to see it in the flash bios directory wink.gif

theres a backslash there but this forum deletes them.

yeah I had this... make sure that your jumper points on the bottom of the board are connected. (Imurderer is the only one that shows this but it is necessary-THX Imurderer) Also make sure your solder points on the top are correct and good. There are 2 jumpers that need to be connected to enable flashing and that one wire that goes to the third pin on the tsop as well.

Thanks for the advice. The XBox flashed my bios, but now I have a dead xbox. It doesn't do anything anymore. It just flashes orange and green. I think I was supposed to flash it with the v2.6 bios, not the TSOP bios. Any tips on how to fix a bad flash? I've already tried the tutorials at http://evox.xboxhackz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=812, but it did not want to work.

Thanks for any help!

you flashed the tsop with the EvoX_MatriX_TSOP_flash?? lol it might be fixable..
Dhomas
Thanks, it is fixable. Problem solved. For others with this problem, read this http://evox.xboxhackz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=812. Good tutorial, but not for noobs. Make sure you're familiar with your chip and its modes. And be patient.

Thanks, I will be more careful next time. But I was just following jp110099's advice (see post above). I learn from my mistakes, though. Now I know what not to do, and how to fix any problemed flash.

Thanks,

Dom
