Hi,
I was trying to install a trainer for Halo and the info file was pretty sketchy on how to install so I tried to put the patch on default.xbe like it told me to only I didn't realize it meant the game file and ended up patching my dashboard, you know because evox uses default.xbe for it's dashboard...stupid mistake...
Now when I try to run xbox games will load up fine but I can't get into the dashboard and the evox cd won't boot, I've tried several things now including the box explorer to no avail, even tried hooking my hdd up to my comp and then realized I had to unlock it first reading other forums, screwed up my computer which took about 2 hours to fix.
So anyway, I was wondering if there is anyway to restore my dashboard without re-formatting, all help is appreciated

Well, thats a hard lesson to learn..
Boot from an evox CD.. Then FTP over your backup of your dashboard files... Ummm you do have a backup right???

Of course I have a backup, and that's the first thing I tried, but that's just it....the evox cd won't boot for some reason, tried the cd I used first, made a new one, tried different versions, none of them work, it just sits on the first screen with the green flubber stuff that says xecuter lite

Found the problem, but still don't know how to fix it..
Xecuter boots to the hdd before booting the cdr so I can't get the evox to boot at all, trying to find a way to get around this but as of yet, can't
