INEEDHELP
I just bought my 120 gb hdd. So first i connect my xbox via ftp and copy my C and E partitions to my pc. Then I prepare my new hdd, put in my xbox, and then transfer my C and E back over to the new hdd. Is this right? If it's not, what did I forget?

You got it!

You can prepare the new hd after you put it in the xbox using evox new hd or slayer's install.

Just be sure when you ftp back your c and e drives to rename the "xboxdash.xbe" file so you don't overwrite evox with the ms dash or it won't boot.

OK. I found a tutorial at gotmod.com and it doesn't say anything about backing up my X, Y, and Z partitions. Do I just leave them alone? What do I rename the "xboxdash.xbe" file to?
slamer
dont tuch x y z.. just C and E

the original xboxdash.xbe -> msxboxdash.xbe

evox dashboard -> xboxdash.xbe or evoxdash.xbe (depending on you bios)

My original dashboard is already named "msxboxdash.xbe" and my evox dashboard is already named "xboxdash.xbe". So why is this guy telling me to change the "xboxdash.xbe" file when it's already named that????

I don't know. But you do have it right, so don't worry about it.
