Installed a 2.6CE on my buddies 1.0 xbox. Used the wire method. Plugged it in turned it on, rebooted 3 times and FRAGed with no sound or video. Disabled chip and booted to stock just fine. desoldered the wires and redid them, also resoldered d0. Same thing happened: 3 boots and FRAG, but booted fine with chip disabled. Desoldered the wires and used the pin header. Same thing happened. Resoldered the bottom of the header along with the d0, same thing happened. What am i doing wrong here? I have read about peoples LPC's being wired wrong, and thats why i redid everything so many times.

It is the soldering in the LPC, no question about it...

Check your voltages, the correct ones are in my sig. Your d0 is fine, don't worry about that. If your voltages are ok, then its possible the chip isn't flashed with anything and you will need a programmer to fix that.

LOL... Fixed it, i forgot to put tape on the bottom of the pin header where the solder was.

now my xbox does the same used 2.6 lite 1.1 xbox
solder it now it boots 3 times and flashes red green....
how doe you make traces ???
there is some broke next to the d0 point so i think that's it and next to the place where you puth the pinheader i miss an small brown box a trancisto where can i get a new one ???
