I have a 1.6 crystal and I was messing about today and I thought I would give UIX a try.

Once installed it just reboots again and again, never loading the dashboard.

I downloaded

01.03.05.user.interface.x.dash.audio.and.fonts.rar
01.03.05.user.interface.x.dash.rar
Replacement.UIX.XBE(MAKES.UIX.WORK.WITH.ALL.BIOSES.EVEN.1.6).rar

and used the uix.xbe from the 1.6 fix package, with no luck.

The xbox is fairly normal, it has a 40gig HDD (Unlocked) and is running X2 5028

any help would be great, as I fancied a change of dash

Are you sure that you used the replacment .xbe?

OR

did you put the fonts and audio in the correct folders?

Both of these could be causing these problems

What bios are you using? Have you got a softmod, because if you do this may pose a problem. You should allways test a new dash as an application before you go running it as a dashboard.

yeah I feel like a complete pratt, I figured it out about 2 minutes ago, I had the audio and fonts in the root,
