So I got my X3 installed and working on my 1.0 Xbox (damn desoldering sucks). I flashed the BIOS with the 3108 build and it opens to the screen, and now I have reached the limit of what i know or have read how to do.

I want to install emulatiors and file managers, but dont know how. At first I thought I need to install EvoX, but when reading the forum several people said that you dont. So do I need to install EvoX, and if not how do I install some apps?

Teamxecuter.com has tutorials on how to flash the bios, and the main page of x-s has tons of tutorials on what to do next. Just read the noob tutorials.

Well, you don't HAVE to install EvoX. Their are many other dashes that you can use, like UnleashX (the best in my opinion), Avalaunch, XBMC, MediaXMenu, and others. I suggest you get Slayer's Auto Installer, which will install EvoX, many Apps and Emus easily for you since you're just starting off...
