I flashed a friends chip with the wrong bios as he has a 1.6 box without stopping to think about it. I've tried the hotswap method and it doesn't seem to work. We both have xecuter 2.6 chips.
Ok, I've done this two times now and get the same result.
I have confirmed for sure that his box is a 1.6 and not a 1.6b if that matters.
I hotswapped the chips and flashed his using flash-x and the 5028 bios onto banks 1 and 2. it seemed a little wierd because the elapsed time was only 1 second then it hung for a few seconds and gave me a "no xecuter chip or protected" warning, thought nothing of it and put the chip back in his box to get nothing different than before.
there is ONE wire that he has on his chip that I don't, one red wire that plugs onto a single post, not sure if that makes a difference or not but it's more info.
Is there another program I can use or another bios maybe to get this up and running again?
Do I need another 1.6 to hotswap it with?
