I was looking at buying either a madcatz or Logitech controller today and thinking of building it into my xbox. I wanted to know that if I have all my shielding removed and I put the reciever inside my xbox, will I still be able to use the controller to the full extent of it's functionality?

im almost positive that the shielding has absolutley no effect on the functionality.

if you wire the reciever in i would suggest also wiring in a relay so you can still use a wired controller

I've done it. It's been working fine now for about a month. Mine's a madcatz lynx. I still have the shielding but to make sure I get good reception I folded down the shielding where I installed the receiver to give it a 'window'. I didn't lose any reception and it looks much better without that ugly receiver hanging off the front.
