I have a question. I have been looking all over the place for a Replacment MS Dashboard. The one I currently have is Dash Version 1.00.5960.01 with folder "xboxdashdata185ead00" and I want to update or downgrade it with 1.00.5659.01 with folder "xboxdashdata17e4cd00"
I couldn't find this in the usual place, and I have search all morning in every forum, but no luck.
I have even considered updating the dash with the update.xbe, and dashupdate.xbe in several games that I have, but I believe they do nothing but update the live aspect of the dash (Dashboard version is the same in MS DASH). If anyone could lend a helping hand to the right direction would be much apreciated.

You're gonna have a hard time finding any original m$ dashboard. As it is all original m$ code. Anyways, if you dont mind me asking why do you need a specific version?
EDIT: If you try using the dashupdate.xbe or any other dash updater, its not going to replace the dash if its a newer version then the version it has packed, the way 2 get around this is to delete the xboxdash.xxxxxxx folder. and the xboxdash.xbe, then rename somthing like uix.xbe to xboxdash.xbe, then run the updater. This will detect that the dash is version 4920 [UIX uses a diff dash version but i cant remember the number] and update the dash to the version the updater has packed...
Catch the drift?

also, what is the difference between the two other than a few bug fixes?

well the original m$ dash mods were version 4920 only. Maybe he has some plan to mod up a newer version ??? Dont see the point to this tho when uix 2.0 is just around the corner...

M$ 4920 is the easiest to get you're hands on, because of the audio exploit for 1, and that tHc and tHc LITE were both this dash version.
