Alright here's what happened, I decided to install some new emulators by copying over files from a cdrom disc over to my E:\APPS\ folder, selected several folders at once and copied them. Then XBMC finished copying the files and I press both left/right trigger buttons with back and start, and after that the screen was black. I restarted, get the ms dashboard to pick phoenix, the post phoenix screen launches and then goes black.

Someone fill me in on what happened and what I can do to resolve this issue? Is there anyway to get access to my xbox hd from my pc when I can't even go into an ftp client?

I would like to mention that my x-box worked fine for close to a yr. This problem is recent and started as soon as I added these emulators via XBMC.

gain acces via your exploited gamesave. otherwise swap the hd and install a newer exploit. you were using the mechfonts. I suggest the UXE

I had the same exact thing happen yesterday. But slightly different circumstances. I updated unleashx to the newest version and now all I get is the black screen. I tried the game save exploit and after showing the phoenix icon it also goes to black. I hadn't backed up all my games from my xbox. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Someone give some detailed instructions on how to go on fixing this without losing our data on our HD's . Thanks.

Ok Phoenix loads but after that, the screen is black. What do you suggest? Reinstall Avalaunche or what? How would I go on gaining FTP access when I can't boot into Avalaunche?

dude....just gain acces through an exploited gamesave. if you don't have one left just copy a new one through the msdashboard. And then install a newer exploit.
Also hanging at a black screen with old pbl's might indicate you are not using a standard video cable or too much controllers are connected.
