After a year of running, strong the hard drive on my xbox died on me . it would load to splash screen then get stuck on the MS xecuter 2 screen. I could kinda tell that it was bad so, i popped my old on in and everything worked fine. My xbox hard drive had all of my games and game saves on it, and i was wondering if there would be any way for me to recover that information. I hope it is becuase i really dont want to start over on all my rpgs and midnight club 3

if you can't run it you can't salvage anything off it. Its a pain I know but sometimes there is nothing you can do.
You could try keeping booting it and hope you get lucky once. Is it locked as well?

Depends on what went wrong. Boot off a Slayers disk and see if you can't FTP to the drive and move all your stuff off. If you get errors, then (assuming unlocked) putting it in a PC and running something like SpinRite might help. Don't know of SpinRite will work on the XBox drive, but it should.

the drive is unlocked, i'll try the slayer disc once i can get my hand on it
