all you can currently do is change the month which will change its color.

There's a glitch that let's an image stay in the background for a bit.
I think you view an image off the memory stic then press home or something.

like strangeone you can use an img or a video in pause mode as a bg. but sa soon as you go in to another menu it disapers. you have to press home or select.

thats not a bug, it's designed to do that.

If you have a 1.0 you could try dumping the lframe0 device to memory, editing the internal FAT12 filesystem to have your new image in it, and re-flash your device.

but don't try that at home, you'll probably brick the psp.

basically, what he's saying is to dump the firmware, edit the image inside it and reflash.

Actually it's lflash, not lframe0 You would probably need to dump flash1, the configuration volume, along with flash0, the system volume.
