I am trying to set up a wireless network at home and am after some advice if possible
I want to get a billion 7202g and a minitar pci card, I am also after a Wireless access point/client to hook up my xbox to my desktop. Can anyone tell me how to go about this and what products to use. i want to stream music and movies to the box.

alright are you hard wiring your xbox? Or using one of those things to let the xbox go wireless and to stream music XBMC definitely. All you need is either a router or a crossover cable to connect the xbox to comp, and you want wireless so just go with like a linksys or netgear wireless router. Once you get all set up then ask for help connecting to your box(which shouldnt be hard at all).

I want to stream wireless to the xbox from the desktop. can you recommend any specific products or ones to steer away from. Once it is setup i understend you change the shared folder to the network drive and snip snip bobs your aunty.or thereabouts
Which one of thes would be best

Netgear WGE111,
Dlink DWL-G810
or the Linksys WGA54G.

you need a wireless AP or router
AND a wireless bridge
these are fine for the bridge
