alright are you hard wiring your xbox? Or using one of those things to let the xbox go wireless and to stream music XBMC definitely. All you need is either a router or a crossover cable to connect the xbox to comp, and you want wireless so just go with like a linksys or netgear wireless router. Once you get all set up then ask for help connecting to your box(which shouldnt be hard at all).

I want to stream wireless to the xbox from the desktop. can you recommend any specific products or ones to steer away from. Once it is setup i understend you change the shared folder to the network drive and snip snip bobs your aunty.or thereabouts
Which one of thes would be best
D-Link DWL-G700AP
Netgear WGE111,
Dlink DWL-G810
or the Linksys WGA54G.

you need a wireless AP or router
AND a wireless bridge

these are fine for the bridge
Dlink DWL-G810
