i reformated the drive that had my original C:\ on it, i was able to do a soft mod and everything so i have my eeprom and what not, is there anyway to build an original dash or am i screwed. the only reason i want M$ dash back is becuase i still want custom soundtracks in my games. im using uxe right now but im going to switch to ude2 if theres anyway i can get custom soundtracks again. thx in advance

Use a "shadow c"

This is a function of NKpatcher (the thing that loads after the UXE fonts to patch your kernel and unlocks your xbox fully)

Look it up, there are config tools etc, or installers (most UXE installers implement it)

is the slayers disc you are talking about slayers evox installer disc?

alright....so i got slayers evox installer and i made a shadow c drive, this is what i need in order to go about the custom soundtrack thing. also im using UXE will i need to switch too UDE2 in order to use it, also slayers seems pretty easy, i just select the option to make a shadow c and thats it, i can boot into original dash?

Man thats weird... I just modded my xbox with ude... and i realized something. I'v never used the custom soundtracks and i never will. I'm a big halo 2 player. So i guess i never really had the need to. Aren't there different dash's that let you do custom soundtracks in game?

regardless of which dash you use, if your game supports custom soundtracks, u can listen to custom soundtracks, use MS dash to rip cd manually or use virtual cd ripper for windows, that does it for you via ftp in a matter of seconds biggrin.gif

No you don't. And using your PC and a program designed for it this is much faster. Plus you can get better quality rips as well.
