how do i update the programs on my xbox, such as dvd2xbox and xbox media center?
download the new versions from the usual place, then FTP them to your xbox, overwriting the old versions

its..well....the source code, it cna be legally distributed, but you have to compile it with the (illegal) MS XDK, the binaries in the usual palces have been compiled, and thats why its illegal to direct link tot hem form here or any upstanding website
