when i remove the matrix chip and turn on xbox i get green error screen.i have a 160 gig hd in it with avalaunch,how can i get it to boot to msdash.any help would be appreciated

However, if you are just trying to get to the ms dash to check gamesave and stuff like that, browse the HDD (C:\ partition) through Avalaunch and launch the xboxdash.xbe. That will launch the MS dash for you. ( I think )

If you are wanting it to be a "stock" xbox with a larger HDD try the following...
With the chip in... 1st make sure you still have ALL of the MS files still in the C:\ partition. Next, make sure the HDD is locked.
Now remove the chip and turn it on...
