I can't beleive i missed this review of PREY that showed up over at IGN a few days ago,... sorry if it's old news to people but want everyone to see the roughly 10 min of IN GAME direct feed footage.

hoooly shit! that game looks so awesome!... the whole feel to it, separating the soul from the body, when he died he attacked the demons claiming his body/soul so he could return..............anyone know the release date?

Do you think a game like this on hardware like this will have near zero loadtime when you start.

For example, you load up your game (assuming its been cached to the hdd beforehand) and before you get to the main menu, the game engine is already loaded and for arguments sake your last save game is loading, so as soon as you click load your (near) instantly back to your gaming.

Where as current gen nothing really starts till you tell it, it hasnt really got the power todo otherwise.

What do you think?

I wish it offered Lan coop, but from what Ive read, they are focusing on the main character so I doubt it'll be implemented.

Ill pick it up when its around $30.00 or so because of that. Im a coop whore, its the only reason I bothered picking up Doom III for Xbox(glad I did by the way).

Other than that, it looks a lot more intriguing than I originally expected. The whole premise of the game seems to be very solid

I checked this one out at E3 and while the graphics are quite good, it was really
the gameplay that sold it to me. Walking on walls/ceilings, leaving your body,
jumping environments through portals etc...

Has this actually been confirmed for the 360? At the show it was the PC version
and I spoke to 2 of the developers there and they told me they were interested
in bringing it to a next-gen system, but couldn't say for sure if they were or even
which one they'd like to see it on.

Yes, as far as I know, it has been confirmed.

curious about the multiplayer though

I havent played a single player game in like 5 years

I dont see much fun in multiplayer unless its a racing game. its not hard to shoot a gun in an arena match and kill them and would get boring.also most multiplayer doesnt have storylines.

Game looks good. I hope it's 1 player only with no multipayer (maybe co-op) sick and tired of playing multi player games with 14 year old cheat exploiters.!!

yeah i thought of that too. I thought that those portals were the "chack points" (loading point), and if it is true..M$ was right--0 sec loading times!

It was probably running on dev kits that would have the game on a HD so that would explain the quick loading points.
Don't get too excited just yet they may need to alter a lot.

One of the devs at E3 gave 2 answers to release date: "when its done" and "possibly january but subject to change"

I'm going to pick this game up, no matter how gritty it is (as long as its not too gritty) because I love sci fi stuff. Not much of a star wars freak kinda dude but I like Stargate sg-1 etc.

Btw, there is a Stargate sg-1 The Alliance game due for fall on the xbox and ps2 and pc, do you think they would put it onto the next gen consoles instead or just keep going with the current plan?

from what Ive read, stargate is only going to the current gen.

Kinda bad timing with some games, stargate being one of them, half life 2 the other.

Oh well, hopefully in the future they make another stargate and it hits the 360

its funny how everyone besides people who read up a lot think that ps3 is gonna blow the xbox 360 away. the xbox 360 isnt like how the xbox was it has tons of support from most of the badasses in developing and its not gonna have only 10 games at launch more like 30 being released within the launch window.Which I may add most of the games are looking sweet demonik prey full auto quake 4 kameo which is unique and a lot of others.

Also the only thing ps3 excels in is the floating point because of the spe's which i dont know how much of that is used for programming the graphics. and the dots per second which is like 51.7 billion to 33.6 billion dots per second ps3 with the higher. Again the systems are pretty even and i doubt all the dots will be used up anyways. im sure ps3 will have some amazing games eventually that why i will be getting both systems.

Yeah... i also have a lot of friends which called me to TELL ME that the ps3 was more powerfull...
