Quick question for you guys...

One of my friends unmodded xboxes recently died. So he went out and bought a new xbox. He expressed deep anger to me that he lost all of his save points from Forza and Halo2 etc.

If he sends me both of his HD's and I put them in my xbox, would I be able to transfer these files to his new HD without screwing anything up?

I know the process on how to do all of this, but my one friend with a chip screwed up a HD by putting it in a different xbox.

u need to unlock the hdd, with the eeprom of the xbox it came from

If the system was unmodded then the hard drive was probably still locked so unless he had backup of the hD hey or eeprom then you won't be able to unlock it and get its contents out....I think HD hot swapping might work but I'm not sure if it works with locked hard drives + is very dangerous.
