I have noticed in pictures of the new controller that there the numbers 1-4 going around the UI button in the middle. Does anyone know what this is?

It determins what quarter of the screen you take up in multiplayer.

The corresponding quarter of the ring on the controller will light up in conjunction with your position on the screen.
