Ok i figured i'd start this for people like me who cant remember where i put my car keys let alone a movie i saw 20 years ago.

Maybe we can make this a sticky or long running thread.

this will basically be a thread where if you cant recall a movie or film you saw, then come here and ask us and maybe we can help you remember it.

1.
Be as descriptive as you can, tell us approximately when you saw it last or when you think it was made. Actors or actresses in it, and anything else that will help us help you remember.

2.
When replying to a person with whom you want to help address them directly so people know you are trying to help that particular person with their movie question

3.
If possible post a link from www.imdb.com so we can look to see if its the one we are thinking of.

So i'll start this off.

This is a movie i saw a couple of times when i was a kid. Early 80's maybe even 1978-80 maybe 82-84 i dont recall.

Its about a woman who develops a growth on her back and the Dr's can't figure out what it is.
The go thru this and that and cant remove it. When they try and remove it, i THINK i remember the Dr's being hurt by IT.
She's in the hospital and this growth just keeps getting bigger and bigger until its like she is giving birth from her back. She later on becomes somewhat possessed by IT.
What it ends up being is this ancient Indian Medicine man trying to reincarnate himself. And he does from what i recall.
As a kid i thought this was a very freaky scarey and good movie and i have for years and years been trying to figure out wth this movie was.

I cant say for sure when it was made or who was in it, all i can say is i saw it on TV when i was a kid, but exactly when i cant say,, probably sometime between '78-'84.

Anyone want to take a stab at this and try and help me remember what movie this is.

There are two movies here that I cant remember:

1. This was a mech warrior or macross style movie, except with live actors in it. I can remember they were working on one of the mechs, and they went out to fight, and a mech got thrown in the audience. That about all I can remember of that.

2. This was a Disney or a Neverending story style movie. I remember there was a kid inside a house, and he walked up some stairs into a ceiling door. The movie opened with a kid inside his house doing choires or something, then he started dreaming. Later in a movie, someone jumped out a window and flew with their pants or shirt....

Sorry about the lack of details, these movies have been going through my head for years and Ive wanted to see them since. I must have been about 4 or 5 when I saw them.

anyone remember a movie that was set in the future in space where this guy was a boxer of some sorts and he had to fight aliens. I think the aliens lived among the humans. I don't remember much else except that there was a handicap system in the form or a red or blue light.

I remember this movie from over 10 years ago or so but have never remembered the name.

*edit* I don't remember any actors names *edit*

I don't know if anyone goes into this thread anymore, but here goes...

There is a movie that Im curious about. I can't give any clues to the movie except that the intro song is that "Under Pressure (You know Vanilla Ice remade it into a rap song)."

Thats all I can really give. A couple of my friends tell me that its a chick flick and the movie was made in about the mid 90's. I don't know if its true.

Everytime I hear that song, it bugs the hell out of me.

Thanks

i think girl next door had under pressure in it, not sure if it opened with it, certainly wasnt mid 90s though

@ gcskate: you did not just use pauly shore and opus in the same sentence, what is the world coming to?

and a movie that ive been thinking about, i could probably find it if i looked hard enough but i gues sill ask here and give you guys soemthing to do, lol

it was a group of boys who went on some trek to find the body some other kid who i guess got hit by a train, i think one of them died on the way, i keep thinking of the fat kid from sandlot, but i might just be confusing scenes of this movie with the sandlot, all those "group of boys" have the same cookie-cutter fat kid (and the one with glasses)
xboxhackern00b
lordvader maybe it was "Stand by Me"

i also have a movie theres a kid and theres a spaceship that looks like a chrome walnut he has to go back in time or something but when he comes back he has a little creature with him and he gets on a row boat with his family thats all i can remember i saw it about 9 years ago
LANDON14
O.k. I've got one thats been bugging me for at least 10 yrs or better. Here's what I remember: I believe I had first seen this movie about 12 to 15 yrs ago. It was an animated (but not really a cartoon) movie that had to be written and animated by a staff on LSD tongue.gif It was about an evil character that wanted to put everyone to sleep via chemical bombs and have nightmares forever. There was a hero that looked kinda like a small dog with wings and he had a sidekick about which I can't remember much detail. They end up saving the day by stopping the villain from launching the bombs by pressing the red button that was dubbed "The Big Red One"

If anyone has any clue to the movie I'm describing I would be floored and appreciative beyond words!

Okay, this hasn't been all that long ago. Maybe... 10 years, if that?

The movie was about some kind of alien. The setting was a military base (I believe). All I remember about these "things" are that they looked like wads of spaghetti. They had tentacles and they went in this chich while she was relaxing in the bath tub. I believe she was in on-base housing and these "things" were in the ceiling (I think). In one part the whole base goes completely psychotic because of these things.

Can anyone help?
adfinder23
Okay guys, I went through your movies and looked for some while I was looking for mine, but no success.

But here are some of mine:

1. I saw this movie when I was extremely young, so it was probably a really early 80's or late 70's movie. I just remember people trapped in a house and lions were all around it and trying to get in. People got eaten. Then they built a cage out of materials in the house, I think one looked like an iron gate, and they got inside and walked it out to safety. I have had this movie in my head for 20 years.

2. This is an old horror movie, again early or mid 80's, but could have been made late 70's. It started with kids at a high school and the popular kids were in gym class and they left to mess with some nerd's chemistry stuff. When the nerd went in and started working it exploded and he burned up, perhaps supposedly died, i don't know. Fast forward to what I think was a class reunion and the only people there were the kids responsible for the accident. They go on to party anyway, but then they all begin to die off one by one. Great stuff.

3. This one I have very little details about. I used to watch a lot of scary movies as a kid at my grandmas. I'm pretty sure it was when FOX was first starting out and they'd play scary movies during the day on saturday or sunday. The theme song for their scary movie hours was cut from Led Zeppelin's, Whole Lot of Love. Anybody else remember scary movie days on FOX with the screams from Whole Lot of Love? Anyway, it was on a ship or cargo ship and I think people were being murdered. The only thing I really remember is someone going overboard on a net that was on the side. Don't remember if she/he was alive or dead.

4. This one was same era again, one of the old race across the country cannon baller type movies. I think there was that fast talking, skinny nerd with the big glasses from all the 80's movies. For some reason I think he had a twin and they rode mopeds. There was also a bunch in a van. I remember they had to find clues for the race and as they were going up a glass elevator at a hotel they saw the clue written in the chairs and tables outside, probably by the pool.

Some others I was thinking of, but found while searching.

Anybody remember the movie where the kids build a spaceship using junk. There was a tv and one of those carnival ride things. And somehow they were sent from space or built themselves a forcefield that allowed them to go to space. It had a dorky River Phoenix in it. It was called the Explorers.

The other one I was going to describe had a rat boy in it. I found it. It's called Ratboy.

The other involved a group of kids that fought all the major monsters. They had silver bullets for werewolves, etc. I found out it was called Monster Squad.

A couple other movies I already remembered, but stumbled across either way.

Anybody remember Labryinth. It had David Bowie and a very young Jennifer Connely. Now that was a fucked up movie. And similar to that was Dark Crystal.

Since I was so young, none of these movies will probably be good anymore, but damn it I want to know anyway.

Joy Ride is my first guess, but im only 14 so I don't really know these old movies.

Wait i just though of something. thats The Blair Witch Project, but i dont if they were in a truck.

Bingo! I knew if anybody was going to be right on movie, it was going to be that movie.

As for the teens in the pickup in the woods it's not Joy Ride, but it actually sounds like a million different old horror flicks. In fact, Jason from Friday the 13th had a shack out in the woods, I just don't remember all of them. I remember what I think was the second one they went out into the woods and had a pickup truck, but they weren't lost. They were training to be camp counselor's before all the kids arrived.

I didn't mention it before, because it seems to obvious and most people would recognize Jason due to the hockey mask(or sack in the early ones).

Hello people,

About a year ago i saw this movie on television. It was a great movie, but...i dont remember much of it, only that is was funny as hell.

It was kind of a gangster movie. I think the 2 main characters were brothers(wannabe thugs?). The word Fuck/Fucker/Fucking was used ALOT during the movie. The 2 main characters had alot of fights and disagreements, like the one wanted to get a gun because they knew they werent safe, and he talked about why they should get a gun for a minute, and the other one just replied with "you're not getting a gun".

I also remember a scene where they are outside in this open concrete area, and they have an argument and beat eachother up, then alot of cars come to pick them up. I think one of the main gangsters is black, (other italian?).

One of the 2 guys was normal height/weight. the other one was a lil bit shorter and fatter.

I thought Matt Dillon was the normal one but i cant remember, i checked IMDb.com and i couldnt find the movie when i looked at Matt DIllons movies.

There was alot...ALOT of foul language tongue.gif

Ok, here's one I just remembered when watching a little behind the scenes on Final Destination 3, because they had a roller coaster crash.

The movie was probably early 90's and probably well known. I probably know the movie too, but it's this one scene I remember I can't connect it to what movie it is.

I'm pretty sure it was in the beginning too. Anyway, I think someone is getting a tour of an amusement park and they keep cutting to people riding a roller coaster, the tour, and security cameras. Then the security cameras show a part of the roller coaster track break. They then show a train of cars on the rollercoaster jump off the track and into the air, and everybody a train of cars further back begins to freak out. But alas it was just an effect to make the ride scarier for them and it was fine.

Shortly after I think the person that was taking the tour is in an elevator and you can see through the floor. All of the sudden the elevator starts falling down and the guy is freaking out inside as he can see the ground quickly approaching. But alas, again, it is just an illusion to scare him, the floor was just a big tv screen.

What movie was that in?

sorry there isnt better info...

There was a movie, from what i can recall it couldve been made in the
sixties, seventies or early 80s. (thats a fair gap) It was a horror movie. It was in colour.
In it, the main character, a woman, kills and dismembers a man (in self
defense i think, and i think its her husband) and puts the pieces in a
freezer in the basement. Then for some reason, the hand comes back to life,
escapes from the freezer and chases her about the house, and chaos

Dude, are you serious or just messing with me? Because I asked about the same movie on the previous page. It's been in my head for 20 years and never knew what it was.

I might as well give it a shot. Anyways a few years back I stayed over at a cousins and aunt's house and we watched an older horror movie it was made in maybe 60/70's and possibly real early 80's. It's about a boy who kills another kid then his own mother hides him in the house so the police can't get him or something along those lines. Then time passes and his mother dies and then another family moves in and the kid is still hidding insides the walls of the house, I can't remember where exactly but I think it might of been in one of the closets it was like a passage, but anyways he begins spying on them all and I think mainly the daughter of the new family that moved in and I kind of fell asleep, but I recall that the family kind of seeing him peeking at one time.
