Hi there

I wonder if someone have made an VNC viewer for xbox? I have searched but haven't found it?

The idea of controlling your PC from a XBox should be great, since it would give the ability to browse the net on your pc. It should be a standalone xbe-app since I don't run linux on mine smile.gif

pop.gif to the developer who creates this! smile.gif

Nah, just kidding. It can be done by Linux, however. It still is a nice idea, though.

ok, i have to say this is something i would love, so many times i have needed to check what a download etc is doing ont eh upstairs PC and havnt wanted to get off my ass to do it.

vnc would be great, allowing me to check how my torrents etc are doing.

There are a variety of great VNC viewers for Linux.

IIRC, there is also at least one Xbox Linux LiveCD distribution if you don't want to do a hard drive install. I forget what it is. (Gentoo has LiveCDs for Xbox, but they're minimal ones that just have what is needed to start an install.)

I find it surprising that there isnt one.

The psp had one released almost immediatley, this seems like the type of thing that would have been coded much earlier. I went searching for one and when I didnt find it I was very surprised.

i've sucessfully used the very small and fast to boot xdsl to do this

of course running linux in the first place removes the point of doing it for web browsing, but i'll use it like it's been said to check progress on a download and such things.

As am I.
Thought it would be in the standard packet, considering u put ur xbox next to the TV. (so we dont have to get up, or whatever.)
And with XBMC its a... Media Center.
But i also would like this feature as a standalone or a script for XBMC.
To bad i cant program such things. uhh.gif
