Hey guys, my first post here, woohoo!

I've noticed something really weird on my my PAL xbox (got an NTSC one too)...
GTA San Andreas only works in either PAL or NTSC mode when you select video mode to normal. If you select widescreen (or turn on progressive scan for that matter) , the game just dumps you out to the evo-x screen.

Is anyone else having this problem with PAL xboxes? It seems similar to the problems that people using Super Monkey Ball were experiencing. Has anyone else with a PAL xbox managed to get the game to work with the video switched to NTSC with widescreen and 480p turned on?

If 480p is enabled, then your PAL console ceases to be PAL and is for all intents and purposes, an NTSC console. Look at EvoX as the problem.

UPDATE: I just bought the PAL version and it has no 480p mode.

Get the NTSC-version of default.xbe until there is a hex patch (if there isn't one already).

How I can do it?

I take the NTSC version, and I change the eng subtitles with ita sub.(Rename file)
Now I have Pscan and sub ita

same problem ... NO 480p with GTA SA, have downed both versions (daggers and PAL)
also have bought it in UK and still no 480p. When launch GTA SA the game switches my X2VGA back to interlace. Have no problem with GTA VC works perfect in 480p.

Have tried evox/unleash and avalaunch dashes to launch game, all dashes work in 480p but this game will not.

I think you are better off not haveing 480p enabled. When I turn on 480p I notice a lot more jagies on the sceen. A lot more. I personaly think the pictures on this game looks better without 480p.
