Thanks, that would be my mistake. I asked a neighbor whom has 3 of the matrix chips installed in his kids boxes.

If you bought a Matrix Chip and it is incompatible with your XBox... PM me and I'll make it right with you. That was my mistake.

I did find posts related to installing the matrix chip on motherboards 1.0 - 1.5. Although I have not currently tried all of these installations to date, info can be found in the pinned matrix guide at the top of this forum.

so is there a way to get matrix to boot on a v1.5 xbox mobo? I just bought a new xbox in nov, and i wanted to use my old matrix chip on it.... but no luck so far, wont boot at all.
