Looking to buy a solderless adapter for the Duox2 cromwell edition modchip (white version). I can't remember if there's an official version or a cheap and dirty method, basically I need something to quickly check a coma/fragging console to test if it's the tsop/eeprom/HD. I don't need the chip, just the adapter.

Alternatively, I would consider buying both a different brand chip and adapter if the price is right (not looking for an expensive X3 or anything) and would really like one of the older chameleons (version 1.3+ I think) that can flash a corrupt onboard tsop. I will not paypal anybody without decent SELLING refs due to some recent issues/scams/narrowly averted scams I've had. If you have low refs and are willing to ship first, of course I'd be willing to buy off you, you'll be paypal'd the same day I receive whatever it is I buy from you.

PLEASE list what you have and prices in this thread, and what country you'll be shipping from. Thank you.

I would just solder it. You would need one of the generic solderless adpaters. Also I'm pretty sure your going to need to solder the D0 point anyways. I don't know since I have never used solderless. If you like I could solder in a Pin header, and D0 for $15 plus shipping back. Thats cheaper then any solderless adapters, and you won't have to mess with D0, which is the hardest part of a chip install.

EDIT: NVM, I just saw your from canada, shipping will be insane.

Eh, I have a solderless adapter you could have for $15 including shipping.. You'll need to solder d0 to pin4 and BT to pin 9 on the duox2 for it to work, but once you do that, you're good to go smile.gif

You missed part of my post, I just want one of these for a quick diagnostics test on coma/fragging mobos so I'll know whether or not they're worth fixing, I've manufactured surface mount devices and silicon wafer IC's from scratch before so soldering isn't a problem, it's just time consuming pulling out mobo's etc biggrin.gif BTW, you're right about appleguru, I've bought off him before beerchug.gif

I'll wait a day or two on this thread but will probably take your adapter appleguru, unless somebody has an adapter and a chameleon together for a good price.

Nobody has a solderless chameleon to sell?
