I would like to know how to do this too. I have EvoX 1.8.3285 and the X2L chip. Do I need to install the chip or just remove the flash jumper to upgrade, then reinstall the jumper after?

Thanks

The way you have down is correct. You've already done everything correctly. I can confirm this is this is how I flashed my chip. You'll want to use the x2v4976_02 bios. Use the 256KB version on your lite chip for it to flash correctly. If you need more help, just ask, but all in all you're okay.

Hey, when I downloaded the 4976.02 version, it had 3 files in the rar file. Do I just transfer the file that is 256k (bin file)? What about the other 2?

Yes, you only use the 256KB .bin file. Glad it worked for ya ollie40! smile.gif

Where do you put the bios on the HD if you don't have a bios folder? I don't have one.

Make a bios folder and stick the file in there. Should be simple.

Everything is right except it should say "Flash BIOS" on the settings menu in EvoX.

Ok, I figured it out, and it worked great. My problem was that I had an older version of the Evox dashboard. I upgraded the dash, and flashing was a cinch.
