Geeksys
well you can't just copy the disc you need a dashboard that will recogniae these file types then once the file is recognized the files can be ftp'd over then made into an iso format then burnd onto a disc

wait a second this seems a bit iffy

looks a bit like piracy
Miata
I have the iso file but cant burn is in dvd-r
but I can burn it on dvd+r :S
Geeksys
is your burner compatible with dvd+r's
Miata

you can't burn the game period you can't copy disc's

this below is the only whay to make a backup game on a remveable media disc

you need to put the game in the xbox then network your pc to the xbox

then once the box recognizes the game ftp(file transfer protocol) the whole contents of the drive letter "D" to the pc

once the transfer is complete convert contents of the file to .iso extension

once converted patch .xbe's

AND THEN BURN THE GAME

I think you are misreading what he wants.
He has already done the the FTP bit etc all he wants to do is burn the resultant image.
Its nothing to do with using the wrong program or anything like that. DVD decrypter is fine.
The problem is simple your burner is a DVD+R/RW burner only and does not support burning to DVD-R
Geeksys you would do well to read what he put again as you have misled him somewhat. He already stated the burn worked perfectly with +R and he stated at the start the program he was burning with
AZImmortal
actually, despite what the error suggests (Incompatible Format), his burner (NEC 1300A) is a dual-format +/- burner, so i'm not sure what could be causing this error msg to occur. try updating the drive to the latest firmware (or to a modified firmware found here).
jesterrace777
AZImmortal is correct. The 1300A was the first model to support both + and - formats and this could probably be fixed with a firmware update.
Chancer
Right so if it supports both types I suppose the next logical step is to ask if it burns DVD-R with other burning programs ok?
Is this burner supposed to support both with no firmware update?
EDIT
I had a read up and see now. With the original firmware only certain brands of DVD disc are supported and maybe the ones being used are not supported with the original firmware, so updating the firmware adds more brand s supported to the list
