Hey people, i saw this ultra kool version of UIX at http://enigma.team.free.fr/index.php
but the problem is, it made my xbox frag, so i deleted it and went to put original UIX back on it but PROBLEMO!!!!!!!!!!! nothing loadsa, it doesnt frag, it sticks at xbox screen (with X)

i was told it could be the cache?

if ne1 could tell me how to get either version workin i will be happy

prolly not the best place to ask this question, uix does not support that kinda stuff and shouldnt.

however generally speaking most times with uix if you made any like changes to your xips you should always delete the uix cache folder in udata/0ffeeff0 or you will frag

Never speak of the "E" word again, or you will be SHOT ON SITE

If it hangs on load, go into your original m$ dashboard, and find the user.interface.x.dash save file in memory. Delete this, and the cache will be cleared.

Then try booting the real UIX again.

And no en!gma is not ultra cool, they rip off UIX and dont credit them for thier work. That is why the .xip s are now going to be locked. Because of EN!GMA.

Now you see why I hate them so.

but im a noob, and UIX sadly is kinda slow on the releases! i just want ingame ripper, and the kool lookin menus, but im no coder so i dont no wat 2 do.

any1 that can point me to some better people than enigma, please tell me

nope people still hangs at the X boot screen. i cleared cache and the save game. any more ideas?

what cache you deleted?

i hope it was not e:\cache
delete e:/udata/0ffeeff0

well you should not use that word around these forums if you want help on that you should go find them.




one thing though ky, i sit in there alot and they ALWAYS says its uix just modified xips on a stolen beta xbe, but ppl are gonna do what they are gonna do and the xbox-scene isnt really a place to be judging ppl lol so i say just the hell with it.... Just a waste of time

well i do apologise, but the the question was * i have installed en!gma and it failed, how can i get normal UIX working again* not *i need to get enigma working*

plus there forums consists of 2 posts, no sections nothing, 2 friggin posts!

Just goes to show how much of a community en!gma has

Yeah anyway if you want UIX to bet working again you NEED to go into e:\

Go into UDATA
Find a folder named 0ffeeff0 and DELETE it

Then re-download UIX dash + the fonts / audio package
Delete en!gma and your old UIX

Put the freshly downloaded UIX back in where you had UIX installed before
Then test.

Remember this could be a .xbe thing too...

Try downloading the fixed .xbe

but what you mean fragging? if you can boot it with an evox disc its not fragging, if you cant boot with a disc its not a dash thing.

so, if u can boot with a disc - wipe c drive and follow this :install UIX

Maybe enig is so badly scripted that it actually kills xbox's by frying onboard components...

A little late on that one dontcha think? Personally I dont see anything wrong with KyesaRRi's responce. The jackass got what was coming to him messing with a rip-off dash... but some people are inclined to make a stupid mistake like that and get defensive once they see how stupid they look.
