ok I have been doing this a while now I can FTP, install, programs and all kinds of stuff with my xbox, but looking for a solution for san andreas I have come across 'trainers'

any one give me a quick answer to what the hell these are, I have only just come across them.

also I originally tried to mod my xbox by myself, but completley screwed it up installing evox/flashing bios. I brought a premodded box but I want a newer version of evox, I dont want to mess it all up this time, is it easy drag and drop ftp stuff??

Trainers for the Xbox are like the ones for the PC. They are third party programs that run in conjunction with the game. The main purpose of these trainers is to add "cheats" or "options" (which is what the + number means) like infinite health, infinite ammo, lots of cash, etc... to the game without having to input the cheat codes even if the game does not have them built in.
