i'm trying to fix a samsung e700. here are the picks of the damage:

i c that the circuit is not broken, is it shorting out on the case? try a bit of sticky tape.

Damn that's a pretty close picture..

i don't think it's shorting out on anything cos i hook it up without any case and with nothing touching the ribbon.

could the wires be interfering with eachother cos the screen works but it flickers and breaks up.
