I have a Phillps DVD drive that gets power but when a disc is plaed in the drive it jsut spins then stops and spins and stops. It does this like 3 times and wont read the disc. I'm not sure what would be wrong with it and i would like to fix it. If anyone can help me i'd appreciated it. Thanx

nevermind guys i just fixed it. Got it workin!! So happy

I opened the drive again and pushed on the laser alittle. forward and back and noticed it was alittle hard. So i kept doing it until it felt more free. Then i tightened a few of the screwes that have the white soft rubber washers. The ones that hold the laser assembley in the drive. Anyways i did that and put it back together and now it works.

if the lasers stuff maybe a smidgen of grease to ease its way would help for the future.
