ive just had my xbox softmodded and cant connect to xbl !!!!!!!!any ideas how to enable live within the softmod!!!! help plz

Alittle help plz I cant find any info on how to change my bios to unblock xbox live !!!! the xb is only soft modded not chipped on one forum it says it should be ok to go on live if you use an original game and cold start with the game in !!!!

I tryed that it still didnt work!!!! Help plz plz

Yep everything was working fine untill softmod then all i get is contact sevice when i try to go live!

they say its pretty risky to get onto live with a softmod, why not just play without it? since its causing the problem.

Really like NFS underground 2 and others like that plus a bit cheesed, of just paid for head set and a years worth of live !!!!!!!!!!

get the dahsbaord switcher to uninstall the softmod when you want to use Live

Thanks I was going to do that but it says all data will be lost!!!!!! can i just switch the dash board back after ive come off live? i mean is there an install setting on the ms dash board? to bring back evo x?

What error message do you get when you try to connect to live?

Were your network settings set up properly before you enabled the softmod? Did you go to the MS dashboard and set up the network settings again after the softmod? Did you put the game in the disk tray and reset the Xbox?

Everything was running great before the softmod !!!! Ive also set up an ftp program to connect the xbox to my pc that network works fine as well! as far as i can make out the soft mod blocks the connection to xbox live!!! Will it be ok to uninstall it from the evo x dashboard qnd more to the point is it a straight install again from the ms dash board?

Dude, you just need to get your old stock hdd, and swap it out when you want to play live. It will save you alot of hearache if you don't know how to install and use the switcher.
