i have installed my x3 chip and tried to install the bios via http something happened but i missed as i was on the pc my bro say's that the green bar came up then the xbox shut down (he's colour blind so could of been a different colour) but now when i try to boot up the eject but flash's green then soild orange can any one can shed some light on my problem i think i need a new chip many thans dave

what version box and what bios were you flashing? if you press the power and eject button at the same time can you bring up the flashbios screen? if you can try to flash your bios again...try the different bank combos...on on off off off or off on off off off

It might have been a bad flash..Boot up witht he backup bios (Hold eject and Power Buttons) and before flashing make sure you have the switches set to 1mb (if you are using the x3 bios)

Ok that was incredibly not funny lol, what bios were you flashing? Yeah boot the backup 256kb bank and reflash.

its a xbox v1.6 and im tring to flash "evo m7 bios". i cant boot up in to the back up but i can boot into (plz forgive me im a big noob) 2 and 4 press on the pro switch. should i try to flash on this setting?! many thanks dave

m7 does not work on a 1.6. If you have an x3 you should be using the x3 bios for a 1.6.

ok i feel silly but can i flash on the bank i can boot up into i want to make it work. i want to run into the road and scream "it's alive, alive i tell u" and thank for settin me straightt on the x3 bios

yup just flash it with the latest x3 bios and then do ur lil screaming thing

ok i tried to flash the bios (the x3 0ne) but it didnt work and i cant boot into the back up. iv tried all the combo on the banks but they all are screwed is there anything i can do or do i need a new chip?!!
