If you erase the background layer in a Photoshop so that the PSD has a transparent background, and then save as a PNG. The background is transparent. If you upload it somewhere and link it AND are using Internet Explorer, it'll show up WITHOUT the transparent background because IE doesn't support transparency in PNGs.

Even though you can't SEE it in IE, it's still there.

Well it's not erased background it's transparent glass like objects I'll post some screanshots so you see what I mean the effect is awsome.

I'm going to the mountains till monday so if your interested in getting this to work with the dashboard you can get to me on monday. I'll even send you the .psd consider this an open source logo. Remember I'm not changing it either if you change the background the X and the crescents change automatically to work with the background.

OMG first time ive used a paint editing program in about 4 years.. Heres what i came up with. They are all in .Png with a Size of Approx 500x256 (some are slightly smaller but i can fix that ) they are all Simi transparent too, i think they look neat. Hope u guys like them . (edit: some are basic, but simple is sexy )

#3 Skicking to the Chrome theame , but just remember... they are all Transparent.

#6 My fav one appart from 1, Keeps it with the whole ' Next Generation ' kinda thing a nice play on words 'so to speak.

Not sure if your dash will be able to play .gif files but heres a low 256 colour count animation i quickly whipped up.

Most of us are just having fun dude. its not about winning or loosing. Its having fun making a logo for a Local Developed Dash.

I agree. I am too, but too many people fall back on the crutch of "filter hell". I am a graphic designer by trade and can not stand to see decent designs hosed with every filter that someone had in their Photoshop menu.
