Well I allways use to write protect my Alladin advance installs using this method:
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/cheapmod-flashprotect.php

Now is this possible on Duox2's by cutting or removing one of the pins or traces?

CODE

Write cycles are inhibited by holding any one of OE# =
VIL, CE# = VIH or WE# = VIH. To initiate a write cycle,
CE# and WE# must be a logical zero while OE# is a
logical one.

From the data sheet.

That means tie #WE high to write protect the rom.

pin 38 btw, sorry. Isolate it and tie high.

Thank you Hippo!!

I will give it a try hope it works...
