I just bought a Xecuter 2 Lite and I have some questions. I'm really anxious to try out all the extra features that this little chip will let me do, but I'm also very nervous about Xbox Live. Since the Xbox HDD is so small, I definitely want to add or replace it with a bigger one. I'm really new at this, so I'll probably sound like a loser when trying to explain this. smile.gif

Anyways, I want to keep the original Xbox HDD and add a bigger HDD. I'd keep everything normal on the original HDD so I can still use my Xbox Live simply, but with the new HDD I'd like to add evolution-x and all my extra programs, media, backups, etc. I'd like to be able to add a switch so I can toggle between HDDs and also add a switch to turn off the chip so I can actually go on Xbox Live. Is this possible? It seems that it is, but I'm so new at this, I wouldn't know where to start.

Is there anyway I can keep the original and the new HDD in the Xbox? I'm doubting it, but there's always possibilities. smile.gif

If you could help out a n00b, that'd be great.

Wow thats a mouthful , Ok 1st Im going to say please read and look around the site for info , also try to post noob questions in the noob area, with that said . the original xbox hd is small and by replacing it with a larger one u will take advantage of the mod chip. you can check the site for some fantastic tutorials about adding a switch w/o drilling to turn the mod off and with that you can use xbox live

It might be better if you use one switch to switch to your original xbox hd, and it turns off the power to your modchip all at one time. smile.gif

That's a really good idea! Thanks!

You'd need at least one switch and a new ide cable but your mod could be done! having just one switch is a lot safer. I'd look for a HDD case before going balls out. But I dont think that having your original HDD as the main HDD is the best idea for this mod. Check it out completely before going foward. Too many people have got burned by LIVE! Most keep two Xboxs because of live so be very weary!
