My TV has both a VGA in and a component in. Which one offers better image quality for use with the xbox?

Personally, I'd do component.

especially since the VGA cables are made to transform the component YPbPr signal into a RGB vga signal.
I can't see how the VGA would end up better since its a way to get the normal HD modes to display on a monitor.
I'd just use the HD modes, if your tv accepts component input in the form of the three cables, thats the easiest anyway, plus then you dont need the VGA bios.
