I'm sure more people would be willing to use your orb menu patches if you posted some pictures as to what the menu looked like. Remember

No, they were .exe programs that patch their respective .xip file. It didn't work for me though. It screwed up my main menu. Lucky I was using it on a backup.

So then why didn't you download a fresh copy of UIX??
this sounds like a huge waiste of time to me. If his xap was messed up to begin with then after applying the patch to your xap it'll be even worse off.

Ok, used the new patcher, didnt get ANY change at all. When I patched the default.xip a window popped saying the file might have been modified or already patched. I previously modified it to enable the fourth tab + backround images. Mabye this caused a problem? Also the remaining two files I went to patch have no windows pop up, even if they have been previously patched. Thats just my two cents, if anyone has these problems or know how to remedy this, it would be appreciated.

any chance you can help get rid of the hands on the clock? Those won't go away

Jul 24 2005, 08:00 AM

the clock hands are in default.xip/main_menu.xap

Yah, those patches worked great. The only problem is that, when in the orbs menu, the buttons are always highlighted. You can see which orb you are selecting, but you can't tell which submenu you are on.

i made a patch for the whole archive file
01.03.05.user.interface.x.dash.rar
the patch will add the orb menu to the xips and changes uix.xbe to the 1.6 version
all that needs to be added is fonts / audio and orbs
this is the easiest i could make it and it works too
enjoy

I just downloaded the patch, and I have no idea how to use it. When I double click on it, a window comes up, and I have to select the files to patch. Whitch ones do I patch. Is it the whole uix folder on, or is it the xips folder or is it just default.xip?
Also, do I have to patch a new uix. I have changed mine to fix the backgrounds.
Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I think you should stick with the xip patches. The dash won't show up when I use the rar patch.

just fyi:
when you click on the tab-ish thing to go to the orbs settings, if you pay attention you will go into the model that you have selected as the main orb.
if you do not understand what i mean, you know when you click on memory manager and then you click o the xbox model and it seems as thogh you are going "through" the xbox model.
i suppose it is a glitch of some sort. also, is there a way to stop the whole twriling in random circles part of it. honestly i (personally) would prefer to model to just kinda float there and not 360 degress.
other than that, it worked.

its not a glitch!!
it was one of the attempts
at a orb menu preview
it's actually the cellwall
look at the orbs.xap
