I just got my xbox back with a smartXX v2 chip installed. I have no clue how to FTP with it, i ahve crossover cables, and Flash FXP, but no way to figure out what my xbox's ip adress is. I have already tried loading a disc with an xISO of evox in my xbox, but it doesnt load at all.

try different media. cd-rw seems to work well. also make sure ur using nero burning rom or a similar program to burn the xiso to the disk

what files do i need to have burned? I just burned the whole Evox file. But the SmartXX system doesnt have a CD area, and it doesnt pop up when i put the disc in.

no need to use evox disks with smartxx. Configure the network settings, flash updated os (update_3345), flash ed on chip, and u will get ftp. From there u can install any dash u want.

How to use ED@chip

First, Upgrade your SmartXX to at least revision 3345.
(you can upgrade with your webbrowser too ! , no need to flash over CD or HDD)
Simple flash to ANY bank you find in the Flash Menu (+ follow instructions them)

Then, go to BankMenu
-> Config
-> Bios / Bank Config
-> Bankmode (Mid 2MB) / You have to hold both triggers while moving there
-> Select 2048 (press A)

-> Flash ed_on_chip then into the 2MB bank (displayed) !

The IP you had in SmartXX OS, will be used in ED@chip II

Ed @ chip takes some seconds to boot, so don't worry

after it has bootet, you can FTP into your xbox.

sorry for being noobish, but my SmartXX chip is build 3333 and like i said, i cant FTP yet, so how am i supposed to upgrade it? And what do you mean by configure network sttings? what should i do with them? And how do i get the ed on chip on my xbox?
