Hi all!
I recently made a 'box to USB cable and have been experimenting with makeshift memory cards. Ive been using a USB compact flash adapter and a 32MB CF card to store saves. however I would like to be able to read/write saves to the card from my PC. Does anyone have any info on the FATX filesystem used for the memory card? I've only managed to find information about the HDD partitions (such as http://xbox-linux.sourceforge.net/articles...=2002173055657) but, from what I can gather from the hex dump of the card the partition header isnt the same. Does anyone have any info/links that will help me?
Thanks in advance!

Does it work? I just got a Sandisk 6-in-1 reader and some CF 64 cards. Maybe I'll try it on the xbox.

For software, try the mega x-key software at xbox-saves.com

It does work (with a PQI 32MB Compact flash card and a cheap USB adapter)

Ive tried the MegaXKey software but it doesnt work. i think its because the card that I am using isnt exactly what you would call high quality and its reporting the size a bit off. When i dump the card with my hex editor it reports it as having 64,000 sectors but it actually has 63,464 (with a bad cluster sad.gif ).

As for using other types of memory i really cant see any reason why it wouldn't work.
