Ok I installed the media player, yet I can't figure out where to put the files on my xbox hd to play them from, I can't stream from pc hd till I buy a wireless bridge, (everytime I hook xbox up to router its in a pc room), so for now I wanted to put some files onto the xbox hd to view with the media player from the hd.

But I don't see where to PUT those video files and pictures on the xbox hd.

I installed it to F/apps/xbmp23

and I can see and access it in the apps folder fine, yet I can't exactly figure out where to put the files for various music, pics and videos i wanna play thru it off the xbox hd.

You can put the files anywhere you want. You just have to change the xbox media player config.xml to point in that direction. Here is an example of my movies folders:

so I made a folder on my xbox in the f: drive and put all my movies on my xbox into the f:Movies folder.

Thanks, been reading more and figured it out, I am gonna change things over to the F drive (for more room) but I got the idea now of how it works from the PDF within the program explaining it more.....
