I saw a thread somewhere that showed how to put LEDs in the controller ports. They put 2 in each port, I dont have enough for that, can I use one for each port? I know its possiable but will it look as good? Thanks

well...if you could somehow mount them in the middle and use maybe hot glue to displace the light it might look alright, but i'd really recommend 2, just order em from lsdiodes.com, they're cheap....

i would always use 2 follow the timmy's mod its the cleanest and easiest way to do it but dont go as mad with the bends as he did (hes a master led bender lol!)
hopefully i will be posting a new tut on how to do it with 2 shortly (waiting on digi cam!)

I have some LEDs to do it but I was just wondering because I was going to do more then the controller ports if they only needed one. I guess when I get an order from Isdiodes I will get some more.

if you're going to do it... might as well do two things...
1. drill both sides of each port to disperse the light better.
2. don't buy garbage LED's (like radio shack) it will prove to be a waste of your time!

I generally do 3, but 2 also works pretty well.

1 isnt that bad if all you want is a tiny beam coming out of your ports i did them for someone they are alright

I might try it like you ball3. I will try 2 leds in each one also, see whitch one I like better. Most likely I will like the one backwards LED because I am not a fan of the LED spotlight effect.

@ball3
very nice done and nice pics.
i have 2 leds on each port but they are usually covered up since they blind you. I am going to give your method a try.

i did 1 led facing to the side, and put the shielding back on and it has a nice glow... if you do one, make sure the shielding is on, because before i didnt and it looked like jus the holes that the pins go into lit up

lol @ 7 leds! what's the most anyone has ever fit in a single controller port? you could probably fit more than 7 of you put them in the sides to.

you mean buy the controller ports? sounds like a deal, but you'd have to throw in your ports as well because i don't have extras.
