ok i burned xbmc then when i put it in the xbox tray i launch it then it like freezes at tha lil oval silver thing that says xbox media center

That's because you cant run it from a CD. You need to copy it to a folder on your xbox drive, preferably e:\apps\xbmc or e:\xbmc, then run the default.xbe file to get xbmc to run.

if ya have dvd2xbox, use that and select E:\Games, and it will show up in ur games list then.
Till you figure out a different filemanager.

a lil research will go a long way also.
but cause I'm lazy too, I'll help ya a lil bit.

if u are using UnleashX, once in the filemanager, press the white button to bring up the menu.

if u are using Avalaunch, once in the file manager, press the start button to bring up the menu.

If your using Evox as a dash...get with it, thats the old days, it served its purpose, but has been FAR surpassed!

Once ya get XBMC running, the file manager in there brings up the menu with the white button as well.

BE CAREFUL!

all these filemanagers use the "two panel" theme, meaning that you have a left side and a right side, click on D:\ on the right side (this is your disc), then click on E:\ on the right side (this is your XBOXes HDD) if ya see a folder Apps, click on that, then u will have the disc contents on the left, and where ur going to copy them to open on the right.
press the white button!
if that dont work hit start.

i dont have a file maneger just dvd2xbox but now i have xbmc on my hdd and can i ftp with it

yes u can FTP to/from PC, or just manage files on ur XBOX

XBMC is an FTP client as well as a media player, as well as....well you'll see.
