What's the point in showing us a high res picture of the box art? A low res one will do us just fine.

Doesn't really matter? Studies show that an overwhelming majority of people who debate between products will chose the one that's "prettier". Case in point: I used to sell PC's at ChumpUSA and without fail people would buy Sony VAIOs because they were purple. Why do people buy Ipods? Looks good. I think it's a great looking bit of box art. But that's me.

What I meant is that the Boxart isn't really big news, not that boxart in the business world doesn't matter.

haha, i think people buy ipods becasue they can hold like 6 days of music and are small, sleek and portable, with meny accessories.
And Boxwork? were is it, all they do its put a little tiny white frame on it with metal on the back, and oh-ya, you can ingrave stuff in it. my bad

Ah. I thought people would care about what they were going to buy. You're right, it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. I just thought it'd be something new to talk about as the games are so close to launch.

november comes fast once we are in september, just how august goes by fast.

It actually doesn't really start snowing until november. It gets cold in november, even late october, but you won't see snow until mid november/mid december.

anyways. lol

Yup. 2 or 3 months is nothing in terms of a game system launch. August will be gone before we know it... then September will be gone and I'll have Revenge... then October will disappear and November will blow us away. I'm pumped.

4 months is nothing in the big scheme of things.

Games get optimized, tested, marketing gears up, commercials everywhere, games go Gold, websites are going nuts, deftech gets a wood from all the news, the summer is gone, fall is practically sitting on our faces, and BOOM!!!!

I saw an Xbox360 commercial lately. It wasn't much of a commercial, just one of those Xbox Gaming vans which drive around and show people stuff about the console.

It was for a contest to win a free xbox360.

So I guess it wasn't a commercial, just a promotion, but it was still cool to see xbox360 on tv.

I like good box art myself. Doesn't really matter so much anymore but in the nes days when every game was pretty much the same boxart was everything.

You'd see a game with really kewl boxart and have to play it.

I think it's great the Bethesda is keeping the same theme with Oblivion's boxart as they did with Morrowind. Looks pretty damn good!!!

EDIT: If Oblivion is supposed to be a "Darker" world than Morrowind, why is the box art "happier-colored"? Hmm, strange.

Oblivion looks lighter than marrowmind to me...

It's just because of some of the pics. We can expect grittiness here and there along with brightness here and there.
The outdoor sanctions look bright because they want it to look realistic.
It's about the gates of hell (oblivion) opening up, so it won't be all sunshine and flowers.
