Well... It is not a racist remark. Knowing that I am an Arab. It just suprised me that someone named habibi-xbox, love xbox, would win the challenge. You usually dotn see too many arabs in America who know how to hack into a xbox.

Have they announced that he's won? I'd be supprised if he does, since a box which has had 007 installed is not unmodified. They should have made it clearer if this is the case, ie a box taken out of it's shrinkwrap, plug in, boot linux.

An anonymous hacker has succeeded in running Linux on an unmodified Xbox, apparently satisfying a $100,000 challenge funded by Lindows founder Michael Robertson.

A hacker using the name Habibi-Xbox revealed the exploit Saturday in a message posted on the Xbox Hacker Web site. Organizers of the Xbox-Linux Project confirmed the method works.

Yeah I don't believe he deserves the full 100k unless by the time the event is over with, it is still the only solution.
