Not for $20 but they are worth far more than any cheap crap for $20. Go to http://www.shop4tech.com and check out the 4x unbranded Taiyo Yuden discs. $32 shipped for 100 of them. Not sure if the coupon code still works but you can try entering in the following coupon code: xpbargains10 and might get an extra 10% off, thereby bringing it down to $28.80 shipped for 100 of them. Don't be fooled by cheap re-labeled TY knock-offs though.

I only want like 10 0f them or 5 to test

have you ever noticed that a 5-10 pqack sometimes cost as much as a 50 pack, get the 50 pack, if you have any troubles, theres always the B&S forums which im sure you wont have any trouble with
jesterrace777
Yup, consider what a 5-10 pack in jewel cases costs versus that 100 pack that I mentioned. Either way if you try out 5-10 and they don't work for you (very unlikely with Taiyo Yuden), you could turn around and sell the rest of them locally or ebay them and recover pretty much all of your losses. You try doing that with a 5-10 pack and they don't work and you don't gain anything back at all.

Okay, the current code is: SUMMER10 and that one is valid. Anyways I guess you can get it even cheaper if you get a referral (don't ask me how though).

I just tried using the "SUMMER10" code to get the TY discs, and the website says:

"The coupon code you have entered is not valid on TechReminder or already discounted items (including referral discounts), please go back and remove your coupon code or clear your cookie cache to delete the TechReminder discount, if you prefer to use the coupon code instead. -'0FCq6CPKf2hSrXWv'-

Anyone else have a coupon that will work? I got hosed with a "good deal" on some DVD-R media that won't read in my Sammy drive and I'm now trying to get a good price on some good media.

these will work in your sammy.. they work on my thomson, they work on my ps2, they read in my dvd player.. and they by all means will read in your box.

forgot who posted it, but the only reason these are "value discs" is because they stopped making the 4x and started producing 8x and they are selling off stock.. these are a good deal.
some people have said they recieved TY02 media code (8x) discs, but mine i recently got were TY01.

good deal regardless.. trust us.
jesterrace777
Okay, are you using them on these discs? http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_...7&cata=&s_cata=
it won't work on the other TY discs, just the ones in the link.

Not that $3.10 is worth a lot of fuss...I'll just disregard and get them anyway, but the code still doesn't work. I thought that it might have been because I hadn't registered. So, I filled out all of the fields and registered with the site and it still gives me the same error.

Now, if I can just figure out how to get rid of the 97 remaining DVD-Rs that I have(3 are now coasters, as far as my Xbox's Sammy drive is concerned). I sure wish I had seen your thread about the different media brands before I purchased my spindle. I got a "good price" for them, and now I know why. They SUCK!! I only paid $18 for the 100-pk spindle, but that's $18 that's now not usable and as far as I'm concerned is wasted.

Did you try the: techbargains10 code? I know it's a shot in the dark but it might work. Also try the SUMMER10 code again but in lower case (ie: summer10). *EDIT* BTW which burner and firmware do you have? As for the remaining DVD-R you could try to ebay them or go to one of the BST forums. *EDIT* Just checked and the coupon code DOES WORK if you enter it in lower case letters.
